For twenty years I have worked on developing science-based toys and games. I coauthored a kid-friendly story which teaches the math and physics of music, and got my start in education as an artist-in-residence teaching hands-on math using my custom-made harmonically tuned Math Marimbas. Now I am a credentialed science teacher in Washington state. While teaching biology in 2008 I helped develop a chemistry board game which teaches mathematical patterns in atomic structure and how elements combine into molecules. All ages can play, learn, and have fun in the process. The music and chemistry will be taught in separate classes at this seminar.
